Add Shelby Devnet to Petra

Step-by-step guide to configure Petra wallet for the Shelby network

This guide will walk you through adding the Shelby Devnet network to your Petra wallet, enabling you to interact with Shelby Devnet directly from your browser.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have:

Adding Shelby Devnet Network

Open Petra Wallet Settings

  1. Click on the Petra wallet extension in your browser
  2. Click the gear icon (⚙️) in the bottom right to open Settings
  3. Navigate to the Network section

Add Custom Network

  1. Click on Add network
  2. You'll see a form to configure the network details

Enter Shelby Network Details

Fill in the form with the following Shelby network configuration:

Make sure to enter the URLs exactly as shown, including the https:// protocol and without trailing slashes.

Save Network Configuration

  1. Review all the details to ensure they're correct
  2. Click Add Network

Switch to Shelby Network

  1. Click the gear icon (⚙️) in the bottom right to open Settings
  2. Navigate to the Network section
  3. Select shelbynet from the list of networks
  4. You should now see your wallet connected to the Shelby network

You're now connected to the Shelby Devnet network! Your account address remains the same across all Aptos networks.

Funding Your Account

After adding the Shelby Devnet network, you'll need both APT (for gas fees) and ShelbyUSD (for storage operations). Enter your wallet address in the faucet to receive testnet tokens.
